Dallas, Texas based independent oil and gas exploration and production company seeks a Staff Production/Drilling Engineer for the subsurface team developing an unconventional resource play located in North Texas.

The Production/Drilling Engineer will be responsible for preparing documentation and recommendations and their implementation of drilling programs in various fields in close liaison with the Senior Production Engineer.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and support of well completions, recompletions, stimulation and abandonment as well as workovers, well performance analyses and well surveillance.
• Daily data reporting and analysis, as well as the assessment of risks and risk mitigation actions in conjunction with the Senior Production Engineer.
• Must be able to supervise well operations and work with other functions to achieve well and field optimization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree, Petroleum Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of production engineering experience, preferably with resource plays.
• Solid working knowledge with downhole tools and equipment, including directional drilling.
• Working knowledge of geology and reservoir engineering.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment.
