Job Description:

Paragon IT Professionals is seeking a Technical Team Lead for a company in Des Moines, Iowa.   This opportunity involves leadership and development support of the company’s Workmen Compensation system.  This will include vendor and customer management, second line application support, application integration development, development architecture, customized functionality development, rules engine development and assistance with the further deployment of this product at the company.   

 

This position will be responsible for providing technical leadership, strong understanding of the application and its business use, and outstanding customer service to the companies and in helping users understand how to use the software most effectively.  The support will come in the form of training, bug fixes, developing improved application integrations, education front line support, establishing development direction for this initiative, vendor and customer management, developing front end systems, developing rules engines, and gathering feedback from product improvements. 

 

Skills and experience sought for this opportunity include:

• Five to seven years of Java application development experience
• Experience working in a large scale IT support role
• Relational Database experience
• Front end and rules-based development 
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Demonstrated self initiation in a project role
• Vendor and customer management
• Technical leadership in design and architecture
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
