Job Description:

General Job Overview:
-responsible for coordinating IT projects with management, Focus business team, IT staff and vendors
-Responsible for knowledge management of Focus application, and ensures that deliverables are fit to purpose and meet quality requirements
-Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for focus application and environment
-Client Support includes analysis of Focus systems with emphasis on adding value to all processes
Major Responsibilities:
-Serves as Subject Matter Expert and technical resource for Focus Application and environment.
-Provides Quality Assurance for Focus application and environment
-Provides and maintain documentation for systems, and application, technologies and processes specific to Focus
-Coordinates with the project team for implementation of vendor based automation solutions. Formulate systems scope and design objectives through research and fact finding to configure vendor maintained systems.
-Supports the organizational initiatives of process re-engineering involving the client departments by process flow analysis and work redesign with an emphasis on the effective utilization of the information systems or information technologies to improve organizational performance.
-Accountable for ensuring quality IT solutions from the third parties (an integrated solutions that delivers business requirements and benefits)
-Act as Change coordinator in the Change Control Process
-Interpret requirements data, maps current and future state business processes to the packaged applications being implemented, and develops plans to address functional gaps between the packaged application and the redesigned processes
-Work closely with Focus business team and the internal IT to identify areas where systems technology can be leveraged to drive processing efficiencies
-Ensures all necessary steps for implementation are accounted for during the different project lifecycles including the transition to application support. Examples can include: workflow, design, development, BPM mapping, communication of status changes and impact to the various IT organization, Development/Code reviews, Quality (Functional and Performance) testing, UAT Testing, Code/Text Case/Documentation Asset Management.
-Analyzes business, data, application and technology artifacts to performance requirements management and gap analysis
-Maintain industry and technology knowledge of systems, applications, technologies, and processes related to the Focus environment.
-Will develop solutions that meet the guidelines established by Enterprise Architecture and business requirements
Minimum Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science/MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience and Skills required:
-2-5 Years experience in development, support and maintenance of custom software applications, applying structured methodology to analysis, programming, and testing, in a J2EE, Unix/Linux environment.
-Proficient in the following technologies: JSF, JSP, EJB, JDBC, JMS & AJAX
-Experience in configuring/deploying  websites using Apache on Linux/Unix
-Expertise with one or more of the following Application Servers: Weblogic, Websphere, or JBOSS (preferred)
-Good working/theoretical knowledge of UNIX and shell script
-Working knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting
-Familiar with concepts related to load/performance testing of J2EE applications
-Strong relational database experience, specifically with SQL Server 2000 and Oracle 10G.
-Working knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) concepts and/or any commercial mapping software tools
-Compuware experience is a plus.
